Villa Bagsværd

This villa was originally in a state of disrepair and considered for demolition. Instead of tearing it down, we reimagined the entire structure to meet the needs of contemporary family living. The transformation focused on creating a functional, spacious, and well-connected environment that supports daily life seamlessly.

A major intervention was the reconfiguration of the arrival sequence. Previously, access to the house was via long exterior stairs, creating a disconnect between the entrance and the home’s layout. We restructured the arrival experience to street level, integrating the basement as a functional and cohesive part of the living space. This redefinition allowed for a more natural flow between levels, maximizing both usability and spatial quality.

All technical installations were completely replaced, ensuring modern, energy-efficient systems throughout. The exterior was redesigned with a refined material palette, balancing clean architectural lines with natural textures. Carefully selected wood cladding adds warmth and depth, while the new facade treatment enhances the villa’s presence in its surroundings.

The result is a residence that feels both grounded and elevated, a space where architecture, materiality, and functionality come together to create a lasting and timeless living experience.
