This residential project manifests our intent to create space for ‘function and feeling’. A major renovation of an apartment in Nørrebro, an area known for being culturally and creatively diverse. We created a home that feels airy and bright, while evidently steeped in layers of history. The studio ran the entire design and build process, ensuring the functionality and flow of the spaces were adapted to the specific needs of the family. Open, luminous, living spaces contrast more compact, intimate areas and darker, natural surfaces of tiles and wood.

Our focus was to honour the heritage of the building, restoring all original features and details, giving them renewed relevance in the context of modern family life.
