GUBI Showroom Nordhavn
GUBI needed to expand their showroom within an existing industrial building in Nordhavn. The challenge was to create a cohesive spatial solution that respected the building’s raw character while seamlessly integrating GUBI’s design language and identity.
The studio developed a new floor plan where architectural lines aligned with the existing showroom expression, reinforcing GUBI’s way of working. We established three meeting rooms, a kitchen, and restrooms to accommodate board meetings and events while ensuring a natural flow throughout the space. Materiality played a key role in tying the new spaces to the existing showroom, using a combination of warm wood, soft textiles, and carefully selected finishes to contrast and balance the industrial surroundings.
Given the building’s concrete-heavy structure, we focused on optimizing acoustics, lighting, and materiality. Long wooden planks were introduced to create continuity, and lighting solutions were carefully designed to provide functional illumination for meetings and product presentations.
A combination of sculptural pendant lighting and integrated functional light sources ensures both ambiance and practicality, enhancing the showroom’s atmosphere. Additionally, we worked on light filtering and spatial zoning to support different functions while maintaining an inviting and cohesive expression.
The goal was to create a space with lasting relevance, both aesthetically and functionally. By combining strong architectural principles with durable material choices, we developed a long-term solution that supports GUBI’s evolving needs while maintaining a clear connection to their identity.
The result is a showroom that seamlessly blends architecture, interior, and brand essence into a refined, enduring spatial experience.
