An engaging and inviting environment in the heart of Østerbro, ØB Ølbar is a convivial space in which to enjoy craft beers in good company.

The studio was commissioned to transform the previous restaurant into an informal yet contemporary beer bar. This required repositioning the brand identity as well as repurposing the interior design. The challenge was to make the shift impactful and clear, but also quick to implement.

Upon arrival, branding elements on the bar’s facade set a relaxed and enticing tone. The design language is light-hearted and simple but with an attention to detail that carries through in the interiors.Textured deep green walls artfully juxtaposed with singular pops of orange point to a bold yet whimsical vision - whilst the woodwork and choices of finishes bring to life the appreciation of craft.

Throughout the space, a considered seating landscape defines different zones. From a private one-to-one by a window, to group catch-ups perched at the bar and larger gatherings around a table - the areas accommodate a variety of social scenarios.

The renovative nature of the project and upcycled furnishings demonstrate the studio’s sustainability ethos: championing restoration and giving new life to objects and spaces.
